I started matched betting because we had a holiday to pay for and didn’t want to sacrifice our debt free journey to pay it off. Like anyone starting out, I was a bit daunted by the process of handing over my own money with the promise that I would get it back, with interest, because it sounds a bit too good to be true. The truth is, it isn’t- the system works, but it is nerve-wracking in the beginning and you do have to put in your own money at first- something that puts a lot of people off.
It can be an intimidating process to learn, but sticking with it means you can make money from home quite easily. While few could get by with matched betting being their sole income, it’s a great way to subsidise your living costs, get out of debt, or save for something specific, like a holiday.
Anyway, how much have I made matched betting?
The truth is- I don’t know! Not tracking my exact figure is my biggest regret in the process, particularly because Profit Accumulator, the website I use to facilitate matched betting, has a handy tool for tracking this, so going forward I aim to use this and will share my monthly profits on my Instagram page to show just how profitable this is.
In the meantime, what I can confirm is that matched betting profits have 100% paid for:
Spending money/accommodation costs for our holiday- £1,473
Money we have put towards debt- £270
Personal spending (e.g. date nights, new clothes, non-budgeted ‘extras’)- £1500
Household Spending (e.g. car/home/pet insurance)- £800
Total- £4,043
I can attribute this large figure in part to the fact that I have been doing sign-up offers, which are very profitable and easy to make money from, and events such as the World Cup have generated lots of free bets, but the Profit Accumulator site forum has instructional threads that detail exactly how to make £300 per month, £1000 per month and specific offers, so my view is that going forward, there will always be a few hundred pounds to make every month, from home, on your own terms, in your own time. And all of your earnings are tax-free!
So based on what I have made, how profitable is matched betting? Well, I know first hand that you can make a few thousand pounds in a year- at least. Enough to clear that credit card, pay for that family holiday to Florida, or build up a decent savings fund for a rainy day.
If you fancy getting started, you can sign up to Profit Accumulator, the site I use, where you can start with a free trial earning up to £45 here.
All you need to do is set aside an hour or two to familiarise yourself with the process, and you will soon be making a few hundred pounds per month and planning what you’re going to do with the extra money.
